ICPCN’s Education and Membership Hub – An Exciting Development

We are excited to be developing our Education and Membership Hub. As a membership organisation we are committed to developing our resources for membership, as well as other activities including education. the development of our Education and Membership Hub is an exciting development as we seek to strengthen our education programmes, bringing together different elements including our elearning, webinars, face-to-face training and bespoke training. We are currently looking at our membership – what are the benefits of membership, what resources are available to members etc. So we hope that the development of our Hub will enable us to provide a more comprehensive learning and membership programme.

Over the years we have had various databases with regards to our membership (individual and organisational), our face-to-face training, our webinars, and our e-learning. We also realised that at different stages in joining, members were asked different questions on registration, so we have different information about different members, so we need to be able to update some information including members profession, country and organisation where they work. At the same time we have been looking at our education programmes and trying to bring together our different activities, such as bespoke training, face-to-face training, webinars, e-learning etc including understanding who is participating in the different activities.

As many of you know setting up new technology is challenging and there are often ‘teething problems’ so we thought it important to explain a few things here.  We are evolving our e-learning site to our new Education and Membership Hub, and those of you who visit our elearning site regularly will have seen the transformation over the past few weeks. A few quick things for people to be aware of:

  1. Currently our Education and Membership Hub is at our existing elearning web address i.e. www.elearnicpcn.org – we are looking at migrating this to a new web address but that will happen at a later date. So if as a member, you receive an email that mentions the elearning site, please dont worry about that or think that we are using your data for education which you have not signed up to. We hope that we have rebranded the site apart from the web address,  – so our apologies if you have received an email from us that you have been confused about.
  2. As we consolidate our membership database within our Hub, all members will be sent an email with login details so that they can access the Hub – please do go into the Hub and update your details in your membership profile. To date I think about 400 people have received emails and the rest are still to get them,
  3. If members have utilised our elearning site they will already have a log in and we think this should stay the same.
  4. We have set up a membership page in the Hub but at the moment it is a holding page and we will be developing it further. However we would like to hear from you what you would like to see within the Hub for members, as well as access to our newsletters.
  5. Please note at the moment that these changes are only for individual members and the process for organisational members has remained the same.
  6. New members joining through our website will be automatically sent to our Education and Membership Hub.

Please be patient with us as we develop the Hub, we hope that all will go smoothly, but no doubt there will be some challenges.
