This educational and networking event will continue to bring together a wide variety of knowledge and shared experience from Australian and International health professionals.

Event Dates

  • Symposium – Thursday, 7 March 2024 at Novotel, Parramatta.
  • Workshops – Friday, 8 March 2024 at Westmead Campus

Delegates will enjoy a full day of face-to-face presentations and the opportunity to meet and connect with health professionals working in the field of paediatric palliative care.

In 2024 SCHN are celebrating 20 years of hosting the Symposium.  Presentations will focus on how service development has evolved over this time with glances into research, quality initiatives, patient reported outcome and experience measures shared by a variety of clinical disciplines who work with children and families receiving palliative care in the hospital and community setting.

We are also holding 2 x ½ day workshops on Friday, 8 March 2024.  These will be held on the Westmead Campus.  We are excited to offer workshops again.  These will provide attendees with an opportunity to develop practical and interactive skills in either of the two sessions that will be held.

These are:

  1. Using feedback and building connections for high quality care (Kin Widger, Nora O’Loughlin)
  2. Strategies to support optimal inter-disciplinary palliative care for adolescents and young adults (Holly Evans, Ursula Sansom-Daly, Amanda Fernando, Toni Lindsay)
